Poco M7 Pro to launch soon as company teases new phone’s release date

Poco is all set to announce new phones in India. While the company hasn’t revealed the names, a Flipkart listing has confirmed the launch of the Poco M7 Pro. The brand is also said to unveil a budget Poco C75 smartphone. According to the official teasers, both devices will arrive on December 17. Ahead of the launch event, Flipkart has revealed the specs of the Poco M7 Pro smartphone. Here is everything to know.
The Flipkart listing claims that the upcoming Poco M7 Pro will come with a massive 6.67-inch GOLED display. The panel will operate on Full HD+ resolution and refresh at 120Hz. The screen will also have support for 2100nits of peak brightness, HDR 10+, and 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The display is TUV certified and it is an SGS eye care panel, according to the listing.
The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating. The handset has minimal bezels around the screen. You will see a punch-hole display design and a dual camera setup at the back. It features an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
The upcoming Poco M7 Pro is said to be the first device in its segment to have a Sony camera. It will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset, which is based on a 4nm process. The details about the Poco C75 are currently unknown.
To recall, its predecessor – the Poco M6 Pro – was launched last year, and it is a good phone for around Rs 10,000, although the new version is expected to cost slightly more. To be precise, the M6 Pro was made available with a starting price tag of Rs 10,999. You can expect the Poco M7 Pro to be priced under Rs 15,000 in India.
The Poco M6 Pro features a 90Hz 6.79-inch Full-HD+ with a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It draws power from the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery. The back includes a 50-megapixel AI sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8-megapixel camera. Other key features include 18W fast charging, an IP53 dust and splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
