2019 is an exciting year for the U.S Mint. It is making history with the first ever Lincoln Cents to bear the West Point Mint's "W" mint mark. Three new pennies will bear the mark, each one released with a different U.S Mint set in 2019. This 2019 uncirculated set will include a graded, Lincoln Cent with an uncirculated finish that bears the "W" mint mark. For collectors who have an interest in the history of American numismatics, this cent is a 'must have,' while the annual mint set also features some attractive examples of this year's circulating pieces.
Historic President Lincoln Design by Victor D. Brenner
Victor D. Brenner's right-side portrait of President Abraham Lincoln retains its place on the obverse of the Lincoln Cent, where it has appeared since 1909. The beloved President bears a stern countenance. His effigy is joined by the inscriptions "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "2019." Lyndall Bass designed the reverse. A ribbon with the inscription "ONE CENT" is unfurled on a union shield that bears the inscription "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (From many, one."
The set includes the five 2019 America the Beautiful Quarters. Massachusetts, the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Texas, and Idaho are represented by Lowell National Historical Park, American Memorial Park, War in the Pacific National Historical Park, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, respectively. The Sacagawea Dollar's reverse design celebrates the work that Native Americans have done on behalf of America's space program.
